Thanks very much for that, Pierre - what a wonderful poem! I do wish I
could see Nicole perform it. Cyber-reality is all very well, but it
does mean I can't pop downtown to some performance in New York or
London. It gives you the desire without the means. It also reminds me
that I wanted to do a version of Innana's journey to the underworld,
until I discovered that Alice Notley had already done it much better
than I ever could.
Some people might be interested in Specula, my poetic take on mystic
writings by mediaeval women, especially Margery of Kemp, which I
uploaded yesterday to http://alisoncroggon.com/poetry/specula.html ,
as Elizabeth alerted me that it had disappeared from cyberspace. I
performed it with cris cheek at Subvoicive a few years ago, to rather
mixed reactions...it was great fun, but I've never dared to look at
the video cris gave me.
All the best
Alison
