Professional Services Grade 5: £29,768 - £35,046 per annum, depending on
experience and qualifications
The Women@QM project has been formed to support institutional anniversaries
taking place in 2007. It is working on a series of events during the
academic year 2007-08 to celebrate women’s contributions as teachers and as
students to Queen Mary and its constituent colleges. An important part of
the project is a major exhibition to be staged at the College. It is
intended to create a digital legacy from this for which a Research Assistant
is required. This will involve input into the selection of material and the
development of a website displaying relevant resources the College has in
its own archives and in those of its medical school as well as material
supplied by alumni.
Candidates for the post should have at least an MA or equivalent in history
or a related subject. A PhD would be desirable. They should also have a high
level of web design and authoring skills.
This full-time position is for one year. The benefits package for this post
includes 30 days’ annual leave plus 4 College closure days, a contributory
