The 2006 annual international conference of the Royal Statistical
Society will take place between 10 and 14 September at Queen's
University Belfast.
Contributed papers and posters are welcomed on all topics related to
statistics but particularly in the areas of:
* official & regional statistics
* machine learning
* the environment & climate change
* the communication of statistics
* bioinformatics & epidemiology
* statistics & the law

Plenary and invited speakers will cover the themes above, while sessions
organised by the sections and groups of the Society cover topics
including:
* public confidence in statistics
* applied statistics in practice
* uncertainty in environmental models
* design and analysis of microarray studies
* lifting in statistics
* crime statistics
There will also be special sessions dedicated to papers presented by
career young statisticians and young researchers.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31 March.
