Introduction to Data Analysis Part 1 & 2 - 21st - 22nd September 2006
These courses provide an introduction to the basic approaches to exploratory data analysis using the Labour Force Survey.
Causal Analysis in Stata - 25th - 26th September 2006
This course introduces participants to the problem of inferring the effects of treatment or exposure in the presence of self-selection and/or confounding. Particular attention is given to methodological developments in epidemiology and econometrics.
Generalised Latent, Linear & Mixed Models - 27th - 29th September 2006
This course shows how the concepts of random effects, latent variables and latent classes are related. Examples are taken from the field of behavioural and social development.
All courses are PC based and provide participants with the opportunity to complete detailed practical exercises on their own PC. CCSR staff are available to provide help and advice throughout the practical sessions and each course is supported by full documentation.
Some free places for academic staff and students are available on each course on a first come first served basis - early booking is advised!!
