The School of Architecture and the Built Environment of the University of Westminster,
within which the Department of Transport Studies is located, is offering up to five bursaries
in the subject areas covered by departments in the school. These are for a period of up to
three years at the rate of £12,000 per annum tax-free, plus tuition fees, for candidates who
wish to register for an M Phil/PhD.
Applications are invited from those interested in pursuing research in the transport field in
areas related to expertise and interests of the Transport Department - these include public
passenger transport, airlines, airports, logistics and distribution, urban transport, and
traveller behaviour. To be eligible, applicants should hold an upper second class honours
first degree in a relevant subject, and masters degree, or equivalent, at postgraduate level.
The deadline for completed applications is 5 May 2006.
