Applications are sought for a research fellow (0.6 to full-time) to investigate the feasibility of conducting a randomised controlled trial (RCT) of an intervention to increase GP referral to smoking cessation services. The project is a collaboration between Prof Susan Michie and Dr Andy McEwen (UCL) who will jointly manage the successful applicant. The research will be guided by a multidisciplinary steering group. Applicants must have a postgraduate qualification in Health Psychology (preferably a PhD) and must have experience of independent and collaborative research
The post commences on April 1st 2006 . Salary is between points 29-31 of salary scale 7 ie £27,286 - £28,802 pa (including London allowance). This North Central London Research Consortium funded post is for eight months.
