the University of Limerick in Ireland .

of Biostatistical activity at UoL and has forged
research links with Departments in Cambridge, Manchester,
Wuhan and Beijing in China, Seoul and Daegu
in South Korea. Accordingly, a vibrant research
programme in now place.
The posts are at Lecturer and Junior Lecturer
level and they command attractive salaries
relative to the UK - appointments according
to experience and qualifications.
Further details are here

Limerick is a pleasant, modern, campus of 600
acres set in attractive parkland with the river Shannon
running through (see http://www.ul.ie).
Demands on staff are more classically academic, especially
as Ireland is largely free of the distortions attributable to
research assessment exercises, such as the UK's RAE.
These positions will suit academics who can teach and
who have achieved, are achieving or will achieve, excellence
in statistical research output as measured by the usual
academic norms.
There are c11,000 students in the University of Limerick
and the undergraduate degree programme is funded by
central government. Entrance qualifications are generally
higher than in the UK and the students in Mathematics
and Statistics are enthusiastic.
