Subject: Resource Centre weekly reporting - action for all system
administrators
Dear All
As you are aware each week the ROC has to validate an SFT and downtime
report for the region. Until now this has been difficult because we do
not always have details of individual site problems, thus if a site
fails a given test we have not been able to supply details in the
report.
After some preparation it is now possible for system administrators to
edit the report for their site. This is an additional task (should take
a few minutes) but is absolutely essential for us to better understand
day-to-day problems and issues at sites. Also if a test is failed at
your site but is not important or should not be treated as critical
(e.g. last week R-GMA tests started failing for several sites when the
site was not to blame) you have the opportunity to change the status of
the test result to "non-relevant". This means that when we compile
performance reports the test failure will not count against your
availability! The ROC has to validate the report after your input, so
please do not misuse this option as we will simply have to reverse
invalid changes!
The site report can be modified by site admins via the following link:
https://cic.in2p3.fr/index.php?id=roc&subid=roc_report. You must select
the appropriate report to edit based on date.
IMPORTANT: You can only change the information on this form during the
hours: Friday at O8:00 am (GMT) to Monday at 10:00 (GM).
Please could you try updating the report this week and provide feedback.
It will be discussed in detail at the UKI meeting on December 13th:
http://agenda.cern.ch/fullAgenda.php?ida=a057618.
Many thanks in advance,
Jeremy
