Hello,
Offtopic but I really couldn't resist (I really don't like skype :)
You can also use linphone/kphone for linux or X-ten for windows/mac to make sip
based calls. Our polycom camera supports sip as well ;P
For some providers in the UK you can use http://www.sipgate.co.uk/ http://www.vonage.co.uk/
http://www.gradwell.com/voip/ or http://www.gossiptel.com/ to name just a few.
Some of them will give you a UK phone number for *free* so other people can call
you as well.
If you want to go a step further you can setup asterisk in a linux box in your
work and connect it to the normal telephone network with for example a sipura 3000
so your outgoing calls go out through your work phone ;P
You get some really nice features with asterisk like answer phone to email gateways
etc..
For more info the voip-info wiki is the place to go: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/
Cheers,
