*** CADUI Scope ***
CADUI is a biennal conference that has been a reference point for outstanding research and development of models, methods, and tools, for supporting the development life cycle of interactive systems and its user interface. We seek high-quality, original full papers that address the theory, design, development, evaluation of ideas, tools, techniques, methodologies for user interfaces in (but not limited to) the following areas:
- Adaptation in UIs: adaptability, adaptivity, customization
- Agent-based UIs: interface agents, intelligent agents, design agents
- Automated and semi-automated generation and evaluation of UIs
- Automated and semi-automated integration of multimedia, multimodal capabilities, presentation of information
- Computer-aided design of UIs during all development steps: requirements gathering, specification, design, modeling, development, evaluation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Context-aware or sensitive UIs, pervasive computing, plasticity
- Design patterns of UI: cross-platform, design, globalization, mobility
- Development support tools and techniques
- Distributed and migratable UIs
- Formal methods in interactive systems development
- Knowledge-based approaches to UI design
- Methods, metrics and tools for computer-aided evaluation of UIs
- Model-based and task-based approaches to UI design
- Model-Based Interface Development Environments (MB-IDEs)
- Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) and Architecture (MDA) in HCI
- Multimodal UIs, 3D UIs, Computer-vision based UIs, tangible UIs
- Reverse engineering and re-engineering of UIs
- Sketch-based UIs
- Software engineering models, methods, and techniques
- User Interface Description Languages
- UI management systems (UIMSs) and toolkits
- Workflow systems and UIs for workflows
- Zoomable and vectorial UIs
*** Submissions ***
CADUI´2006 solicits full paper submissions that describe substantial contributions of novel ongoing work that has produced advanced results related to the CADUI topics as stated above. Authors are requested to prepare submissions as close as possible to final camera-ready versions. Authors will be able to manage submissions and reviews through the online conference reviewing system (http://www.conferencereview.com).
All submissions will be reviewed by members of the international program committee. Accepted submissions will be presented in the main conference program, published in the conference proceedings. Each submission should be limited to 12 pages formatted according to Springer formatting guidelines accessible for a single-column edited volume accessible at http://www.springer.com/sgw/cda/frontpage/0,11855,5-40492-0-0-0,00.html. Accepted submissions will appear as a chapter in the hard-cover book «Computer-Aided Design of User Interfaces V».
*** Important dates ***
- Deadline for submissions: January 31st, 2006
- Notification to Authors: March 17th, 2006
- Final versions due: March 31st, 2006
- Conference: 6-8 June 2006
