The book references have allready cited, but the discussion I referred to
was more about the validity if the 9 million witches killed in the 1700s. I
found some quick searches on the web listing all the names of the executions
specifically for witchcraft, and estimates for other cases not so well
ducumented, with a figure of 200,000 over Europe being a reasonable
guesstimate. I'll try and repeat the seach later, but theres plenty of
starting points with a google search
