virtual pairs with actual, where actual is the physical environment,
and virtual is the non-physical environment. the key is that the
virtual has no direct relation to the actual. so virtual classroom a
does not map onto actual classroom b. people do real things in
relation to both the virtual and the actual. in fact, people respond
to virtual systems as much as actual systems in reality.
