Applications are invited for this newly created post in Physical Geography.
Applicants should have a PhD and a high-quality record of
research-based publications. In addition to continuing to undertake
and publish international quality research, applicants will be
expected to play an important role in furthering the development of
the Department's vibrant physical geography research groups
(www.geog.qmul.ac.uk/research/areas.html). The Department is
specifically looking to strengthen the Environmental Change and
management Group and within this the Centre for Micromorphology
(www.geog.qmul.ac.uk/micromorphology).

The Department of Geography at QMUL, graded 5A in RAE (2001), has an
international reputation for theoretically-informed,
empirically-grounded and politically-engaged research. Research in
human geography addresses the major themes of inequality and social
justice; health and population dynamics; culture, space and power.
Research themes in Physical Geography deal with hydrological and
fluvial processes; environmental change and management.
