ESTS Conference 2005
Welcome to this year's ESTS conference, which will be held in Amsterdam on 16-17 December 2005. The theme
is 'Histories of Editions'. The conference will focus on the ways in which specific texts have been edited
throughout history.
The aim of the conference is to chart tendencies that mark different periods in the history of scholarly editing
by examining the evolution of editing classical and medieval texts by authors such as Plato, Erasmus, Chaucer,
Avicenna, as well as modern classics such as Goethe, Schiller, Joyce etc.
