> Description: The Centre for Policy Alternatives (CPA) was founded in 1996. It is based in Sri Lanka and seeks to strengthen civil society and engage in conflict resolution in the region. Its main areas of expertise are: Legal and Constitutional reform , Media monitoring, Conflict and Peace building, election monitoring. Its web site provides detailed information on the aims of the organisation and its work. It includes free access to recent press releases, plus articles, speeches, data from public opinion poll surveys and full text research papers. These include materials relating to the Sri Lanka civil war, Tamil Tigers and election monitoring reports from Centre for Monitoring Election Violence (CMEV), the Free Media Movement (FMM) and the Coalition Against Political Violence. Most materials are from 2004 to date.

The site state that these materials are subjective and rely upon the personal opinions of the authors. Topics covered include: socialism, marxism, radical Islam and anti-war movements.

> Review of the future role of FE Colleges 
> Description: Sir Andrew Foster chaired a review of the role of Further Education colleges for the Department for Education and Skills. The review comprised invited written evidence from colleges and others, commissioned research, a series of meetings and workshops and visits to colleges. This site contains details of the scope of the enquiry, evidence from key stakeholders, and more information on the advisory group for the review and Sir Andrew Foster himself. The final report, summary and overview of the Review are available to download from the site as PDF or Word files

> Description: The Human Security Gateway is a joint project of the Human Security Centre (HSC) and the Canadian Consortium on Human Security (CCHS University of British Columbia. Human security is defined as the protection of individuals from wars, civil wars and violence. It web site enables users to search or browse by country or topic. Topics covered include: peace keeping operations, children and armed conflict, international humanitarian law, gender and security and refugees. Each resource has an added description of content.

The site includes recent press releases, situation reports, UN resolutions relating to Iraq and full text UNAMI documents. Topics covered included human rights in Iraq, elections, humanitatian aid reports and R&D research reports.

> Description: Gallica is part of the website of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. It give access to a vast collection of digitised electronic books, texts and images covering the periods from the Middle Ages to the Nineteenth Century. This section of the web site contains free full text e- books which have been classified as covering politics. Most of the material is in French. It includes key texts relating to French political history and constitutional reform. They include materials relating to the French Revolution, parliamentary procedure, the French parliament, relations between church and state, and politics in the Eighteenth and Nineteenth century and the French Empire.
