For those of you who have not yet bought or looked at
your Saturday paper, today's Guardian Review section
has an illustrated article by Julian Barnes - "Soul
Brothers". It describes the novel by the Tharaud
brothers " Dingley: L'illustre ecrivain", , based on
RK's life and set in the Boer War. It seems the work
was never translated into English.
The article concludes with reminder of broadcasts on
Radio Four of three programmes on Kipling and France,
with Julian Barnes and Hermione Lee, on November 10th,
13th and 17th.
