Call for "Society and Genomics" Extended Deadline & Confirmed Plenary

Extended Deadline for Summary Submission: November 18, 2005
Confirmed plenary speaker: Prof. Hub Zwart (Director of the Centre for
Society and Genomics, NL, Nijmegen).
Corsage/GeNeYouS and PFGS Benelux co-organise a one-day symposium
entitled "Genomics and Society: Chances for true love?" at the University
of Utrecht, the Netherlands on 16 december.
The winter symposium offers PhD students the oportunity to discuss their
(ongoing or unfinished) work in the wider area of ‘Genomics and Society’.
25 Seats are available for the winter symposium and most of the attendants
will have the opportunity to present their own work.
If you wish to attend this symposium, please submit a 150 word summary of
your research focus to [log in to unmask] before 18 november. By
november 22nd, all attendants will be notified about selection for
participation and about selection for oral or poster presentation. All
attendants will be asked to provide a 1000 word abstract of their
presentation for online publication. Deadline for extended abstract
submission is December 15th.
The symposium fee is EUR 15,- including symposium attendance, lunch and
coffee.
