«Vito e gli altri» won the International Critics Awards at the 1991 Venice
Film Festival. It is the story of Vito, who at the age twelve already has
a tragic past, and mostly lives now in the streets with other homeless
children. The boys life descends into violence when he and his gang learn
to use guns. Evoking the staccato rhythms of video games, the director
gives vivid life to these young delinquents whose future seems hopeless.
Running Time: 85 mins.
«I vesuviani» (film clip with Sofia Loren), a segment from an omnibus
film, is Capuano's surrealist tale about a poor fisherman and his belovèd
squid, that transform itself each evening into a beautiful woman.
Running Time: 27 mins.
