Ferring Pharmaceuticals A/S is searching for a Research Associate, Health
Economics. This position will be based in Clinical R&D. The Research
Associate, Health Economics will assist the Health Economist in
establishing Pharmacoeconomics (PE) as a discipline at Ferring and in
implementation of PE/Quality of Life measures into clinical development.

Research Associate
Essential responsibilities include:
Support in implementation and management of short term and long term PE
studies with a focus on PE or quality of life
Assist in appropriate quality of life selection to provide input into study
protocols
Ability to manage PE studies within timelines with minimal supervision
Conduct literature reviews, summarize published literature in a succinct
and relevant summary, cost analyses
Assist with interpretation and presentation of PE studies to various groups
within Ferring and outside of the company
Prepare reports, power point presentations, and manuscripts for
communication with appropriate audiences
Manage study budgets
The ideal candidate holds a Masters Degree or PhD in pharmacoeconomics,
social pharmacy, outcomes research, public health, public policy, health
administration, epidemiology, psychology, sociology or other related
discipline. Some familiarity with clinical study designs, biostatistics, or
at least desire to learn as well as hands on research experience would be
highly valuable.
Furthermore the successful candidate has excellent verbal/written
communication skills in English, a keen interest to develop further in the
field of pharmacoeconomics, the ability to think out of the box, being able
to see the big picture while being detail oriented, the ability to focus on
multiple issues at one time as well as outstanding analytical skills.
Finally the candidate must have proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel,
Power Point.
