To the Aacorns
This is a proposal for a membership or at least for the possibility to
participate in the mild shower of e-mail-communication. The proposed
membership concerns Gökce Dervisoglu, who is a ph.d student at Istanbul
University on the verge of finishing her theses. A membership would be
most welcomed, as Gökce Dervisoglu is interested in and experienced with
the topics of the Aacorn network - and in participation in the
arrangements and conferences around art and leadership.
To the best of my knowledge Gökce would also be a contribution to the
network and the next generation of the network itself.
enclosed please find a short C.V. from Gökce Dervisoglu:
Gokce Dervisoglu: born in 1974 in Istanbul. She studied Business
Administration at Istanbul University and
Innsbruck University \ Austria and worked as a Research Assistant for 7
years at Istanbul University.
During this period she lectured 'Introduction into Business
Administration', 'Management and Organization',
'Business Ethics', 'Developing Managerial Skills' courses. Due to her
academic interests she received a
scholarship from Austrian State for her Masters Thesis on Strategic
Knowledge Management, later published
as a book. Other than her papers on Management and Business Education,
she presented the paper
"Curator as Knowledge Manager" in a Workshop on Aesthetics, Art and
Management in 2003. She took part
in the organization process of the exhibition 'Art- Alan', curated by
Seda Yavuz. Took part in and completed
her courses on Design Management Certificate Program, a joint program of
Istanbul Bilgi University
and Domus Academy.
Still a Ph.D. scholar she is writing her thesis on developing a model
for art activities and their impact on
strategic management decisions while working as a Management Consultant
at ARAMA, an agency for
Participatory Management Consultancy. She continues developing her
interest in life style mapping with the joint
projects of ARAMA and Radar, Milano and scenario building.
She took ballet classes for 7 years and danced ballroom dancing (special
focus on waltz) for 6 years, later developed interest for modern dance,
thus her personal experience on art production mainly focuses on Modern
Dance performances.
