We certainly have CMS users coming in now doing
export LD_PRELOAD=libpdcap.so and
their code just uses fopen/fclose or is it open/close on
the "NFS" mounted /pnfs/gridpp.rl.ac.uk/data/cms.
All the batch workers now automount this area.
