[EMS-NEWS]
Hello,
Wondering if anyone has thoughts on how to approach this:
I'm currently writing scripts in the Tabula Vigilans language, a Composers
Desktop Project program intended for algorithmic composition. Script wise,
it's pretty much like C++, but... it has no library with a Natural Logarithm
Function - and I need to implement one in order to set up an Exponential
Distribution (among other things). This means writing the function from
scratch, and I can't figure out how to do this.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that if: e^x = y THEN x = log e(y) [^ is
'to the power of']
what I can't figure out is the math behind the natural log (or, if you
prefer, Inverse) function itself.
Grateful for any advice!!
Chris Halliwell
