Hi Chris,
Just a quick response (I am preparing lots of teaching at the moment!) -
I will be in touch again soon!
I don't know if Katy N-J has seen you recently, but she is supervising
me for my dissertation for my MSc in Higher Professional Education, and
I know that she was intending to talk to you at some point.
I am hoping to do some kind of exploratory concept analysis, to 'unpack'
what people mean when they say that they 'incorporate global
perspectives' into their teaching. I suspect that not everyone means
the same thing! For my study, I am hoping to interview some people who
are involved in higher professional education who are interested in
incorporating global perspectives, to explore their ideas about this -
what it means and what they think it achieves. Ron Barnett's
presentation was certainly food for thought, and very relevant to the
work I want to do.
It's early days as yet, but I may need to get some contacts to interview
through your networks! Would it be okay to come back to you about this
once I have a more concrete plan?
Thanks for organising the conference, which I found extremely enjoyable
and interesting!
