_SensoMotoric Instruments (SMI) Announces New System for Non-Human Primate
Eye Tracking_
SMI is pleased to announce the introduction of a new system to its market
leading "iView X" eye tracking product line. The "iView X Hi-Speed
Primate" is an eye tracking system specifically designed for use with non-
human primates. It provides significant advantages to researchers and labs
performing eye movement measurements on non-human primates, especially if
they have been using scleral search coils (SSC) in the past.
Outstanding characteristics of the new system are:
* Plug-and-play replacement option for scleral search coil systems
* Compatible analog output for acquisition systems such as REX™
* Eye movement gain and offset factors manually adjustable for
simple calibration
Other features include CR-based head movement compensation, dynamic
threshold adjustment, control over pupil detection criteria, and optional
analysis software.
The new system is based on the proven iView X Hi-Speed platform. It is a
350 Hz, binocular, dark-pupil eye tracking system using advanced computer
vision methods. It is capable of high-precision and accurate tracking with
an easy and fast set-up.
The new system will be on display on upcoming Neuroscience conference
(SfN) in Washington, DC from Nov 12-16, 2005
