That is the time where we all must get together and serve humanity. So
many thanks for those who prayed for us, who shows their thoughts and
concerns in various ways, who supports us they are all with us, no
matter which religion or country they belong from Thanks allot, I salute
the international community an my nation who is showing their high
enthusiasm in such crisis May God Gives us the courage, patient to those
who are facing allot, who lost their loved ones, who are still waiting,
for us to be there in any shape , a prayer, a hand that can give them a
courage to move on, a sholder to cry on, and a hope. Here is the text of
an e-mail appeal to ask people in the US for donations. Feel free to
modify it appropriately and send it to your friends all over the world.
For example, if you are residing in Britain, you might want to replace
the US by Britain in the text.
As you know, there has been a devestating earthquake in South Asia with
the death toll now believed to be above 50,000 and likely to go into six
figures. More than 2 million people have lost their homes. The magnitude
of the crisis is simply overwhelming for Pakistan. There is an urgent
need for helicopters, food, tents and medicines to reach those still
alive. In addition to providing food and shelter to survivers, Pakistan
also faces an enormous challange in terms of the future rehabilitation
of those who have lost most of their belongings, especially children who
have been deprived of their parents.
In this hour of desperate need, you can help in the following three ways:
1. Donate Generously, if you can. Even a small donation of $5 can make a
difference of life and death to an individual. You can save a life,
literally, by sacrificing a fraction of your lunch money, provided you
make a donation as soon as possible. Here are some recommended charities
taking on-line donations:
Association for the Development of Pakistan (funds will be transfered to
Edhi foundation or the President of Pakistan relief fund on choice of
the donor)
