I am delighted to report that Gender, Place and Culture has finally been
accepted for inclusion in the Social Sciences Citation Index and Current
Contents/Social & Behavioral Sciences with coverage to begin with the Volume 12
(1) 2005 issue.
It will first have an impact factor in the 2007 Journal Citation Reports
(released in 2008) when there will be the three full years of data necessary to
calculate an impact factor.
Efforts to get GPC on the SSCI first started when Lynn Staeheli and Gill
Valenitne were editors so many thanks to them.
Best regards,
Linda Peake
