Dear Pip,

Just a quickie, regarding payment, my institution will only pay on

Announcing a study day for all librarians who currently, or would like
to, offer a value added literature searching service.

University Hospitals of Leicester Clinical Librarian Service are hosting
a national literature searching study day at the National Space Centre,
Leicester on 24th March 2006.

The theme of the day will be peer support in literature searching,
digest writing and rapid critical appraisal. Dr Nunzia Giuse, of Annette
and Irwin Eskind Biomedical Library, Vanderbilt University Medical
Center, Tennessee will be delivering the keynote address on peer support
for librarians providing literature search services. The rest of the day
will be a hands-on session carrying out a real-time literature search &
digest.

	Learning objectives:
*	Provide opportunity for peer support
*	Share good searching practice
*	To understand the process of summary/digest writing
*	To further understand the process of search strategy
development
*	To rapidly appraise a paper
For further information, please contact Pip Rimmington using the
details below.
The day will also include free access to the National Space
Centre exhibitions and galleries http://www.spacecentre.co.uk/home/
We hope to see you on the day!
