An International Workshop on Interrogating usability issues in new scientific practice, within the Lab and within Society

Position papers are only a page long.
This is a final call - the deadline for submissions is 1st Nov. The workshop is free, and in the NeSC, Edinburgh, 26th to 27th January 2006. Submission of a paper is encouraged but not necessary to attend. If you want to attend but don't have time to write a position paper, please register for the workshop anyway!

Overview of topics:
* Design, Assessment and Management. How can we best assess e-Science technologies and applications, and use this assessment to guide the design and management of these Systems?
* New Forms of Global Communities. How do we maximise the use of e-Science technologies and applications to support new forms of scientific community?
* Trust and Ethics. How do we handle the ethical and policy issues to emerge from the use of an e-Science infrastructure?
* Knowledge Production. How do we exploit an e-Science infrastructure and techniques to support scientists' expertise, new research methods and new forms of knowledge production?
