GERONTECHNOLOGY: International journal on the fundamental aspects of technology to serve the ageing society
Call for Papers for a Special Issue on Universal Design
Increasingly, as people age, they expect and want to continue with the work, daily living and social activities that they have previously carried out. To enable them to carry out these tasks equipment and services have to be designed with a design for all methodology that accommodates the needs of older adults.
This special issue of the journal Gerontechnology will address:
1) How to Design for All when including older people as potential users
2) How to evaluate the results of those designs.
Papers are therefore sought which deal with all aspects of Universal Design and Older People from researchers, design professionals, practitioners and older people. Longer papers which develop methodology, conceptual ideas and theoretical understanding and short papers which describe innovative developments or short case studies are particularly sought.
