Hi ACCORNERS,

I am attaching a copy of the programme for the first international
information exchange of the Creative Lesdership Lab in Australia
entitled "The Future of management = Creativity" and attached is an
invitation that was sent nationally and internationally late last week.

This event represents an initial pilot project funded by Deloitte Australia
and the Queensland State Government that will culminate hopefully in a
permanent Creative Leadership Lab in Australia.

I hope ACCORNERS will find what we are doing interesting. Any thoughts or
input would be greatly appreciated. I have a sense that the AACORN network
could make substantial contribution to the development and establishment of
the operation. And there is always the possibility of a trip down
under..barter is a currency I have always believed in...

Below is the wording of the email invitation that went out with the .pdf
file to interested parties..

Kind regards,
Ralph

Hi,
It gives me great pleasure to attach an invitation to the first
international information exchange "The Future of Management - Creativity"
to be presented by the Creative Leadership Lab, a new Australian
initiative, supported by Deloitte and the Queensland Government Department
of State Development, Trade and Innovation and Australia's
InnovationXChange Network in association with one of the world's
acknowledged leaders in creative leadership programmes, the Banff Centre,
Canada.

This event is a two day programme - day one is entitled "A Dialogue on the
Fine Art of Management" and day two "Processes for the Fine Art of
Management". The information exchanges will feature amongst others,
presentations by Colin Funk, Director, the Leadership Development
Programme, the Banff Centre, Canada; Caroline van den Brul, Director of
Creative Networks, BBC, United Kingdom , General Peter John Cosgrove former
Head of the Australia Defence Force and Giam Swieger, CEO of Deloitte
Australia. Each exchange will be followed by a facilitated dialogue.

The Creative Leadership Lab is Australia's first international creative
leadership laboratory created to design and produce creative skills
development programmes for application in industry, government and
communities. It is currently developing strategic alliances with the Banff
Centre, Canada, the US Centre for Creative Leadership and the Learning Lab,
Denmark. Over the next 6 months, the Creative Leadership Lab, based in
Brisbane, will be running a pilot programme based on a series of
international senior executive information exchanges. The objective will be
to design and produce a series of senior executive creative leadership
programmes based on creativity and arts based processes that will have
immediate application and continuing relevance in the rapidly expanding
knowledge-based industries within the Asia Pacific regions.

I look forward to your participation in this exciting and bold new
Australian initiative.
