I would be guided by the retention periods you have in place for other
case records. Is there a generic retention of 75 u=years for children's
records? I know that records of adopted and looked after children are
required by law to be retained until the 74th birthday

Subject: Asylum File retention ???????
Dear List,
As many of you are aware the Local Authority Asylum Seeker Teams (AST)
are
being decomissioned and transferred to central government.
I have just been asked to sort out the records the AST has built up! I
deally we would like to send these off-site storage.
Can anyone suggest a retention period for these records? Also would
Childrens Asylum records fall under the Childrens generic retention of
75
years?
Many Thanks for your help in advance.
