The few question is:
1. time to live of this product
- good for the comming long evening,
- how frequently comes some update, and their dependencies
- known bugs
- (developers road map for large scale deployment)
2. unsupported by package provider :(
[root@hepgrid2 root]# apt-cache search srmServer
[root@hepgrid2 root]#
Gives no output. Is not included by official cern/lcg
deployment support then.
3. supported srm by cern of two :)
[root@hepgrid2 root]# apt-cache search srm
DPM-srm-server-oracle - SRM Oracle Servers
DPM-srm-server-mysql - SRM MySQL Servers
[root@hepgrid2 root]# apt-cache search dcache
d-cache-client - d-cache Client
d-cache-core - d-cache Server
d-cache-lcg - dCache configuration for LCG (supported by LCG)
d-cache-opt - d-cache Server
lcg-SE_dcache - Metapackage for LCG SE_dcache for 2.6.0
lcg-info-dynamic-dcache - Dcache dynamic information provider.
4. if there is any reason to include the srm to cern repository ?
Cheers
Paul
