[EMS-NEWS]
FAO: currently enrolled EMS-based/related music students
EMS Learn is (after four happy years in the EMS) moving to a new home
on the Goldsmiths learn.gold site
http://learn.gold.ac.uk
To login you will need to use your Goldsmiths email account details.
If you haven't got one (and you should!) contact Computer Services -
go to their Help Desk on the first floor of the College Library
(RISB).
Once you have logged into learn.gold look under 'My Courses' >
'Music' and you will see 'Electronic Music Studios' - this is where
EMS Learn has relocated to.
In order to gain access you will also need a course enrollment key -
you need to email me <[log in to unmask]> using your Goldsmiths
email account and I will send you back the 'key'.
There are sections relating to the following EMS-based
pathways/course modules -
Studio Techniques/Studio Composition
Music Technology & Production
Advanced Studio Composition
MMus Course Modules
- plus all the usual helpful things like Online Manuals, 'How To'
Guides, an Extended Reading List, Term Dates, EMS Opening Times, etc.
Note that a number of the Online Manuals are still in the process of
migrating over to this new site, so you should continue to use the
(old) EMS Learn site in the short term (http://mu166.gold.ac.uk) for
software manuals.
New studio users should familiarise themselves with the EMS Studio
Handbook (online version), for an overview of EMS facilities, booking
procedures and general guidelines for studio use.
If you encounter any problems with EMS Learn's new site, please contact me.
thanks
Ian
