Off topic, yes - but related. Originally, in this thread, food was being
referred to as an example of how a cultural practice can cause social
change.
Perhaps one of the most important parts of good food is sharing it. In that
sense we could forge a connection here between the characteristics of a
creative practice that proactively engages discursive strategies (eg: online
writing) and the pleasure to be found in a great meal with interesting
people. This is all about politics really. Thus food, like writing, is
political.
