Same as before, which is both 2Gb on 32 bit systems, and probably 2Gb,
plus unlimited on 64 bit ones, but then there's this business of a limited
offset that meant you couldn't find a component more than about 500Mb into
a container file.
If you followed my messages on Friday (scicom), you'd see that this
500Mb-ish offset limit seems to have gone away for files created on 64bit
systems, even for old-style (V3) files, and what's odder you can read
these using really old software too! I don't understand this, but it must
be something to do with the way the offset addresses are written into the
container file, and the offsets now being initially 8 bytes.
