I've been having all sort of problems trying to test the improved
DATACUBE on 32-bit RH9 and RHEL4.
On the RHEL9 desktop the build automatically picks up my 64-bit built
system, and consequently result in Exec errors running KAPPA from
DATACUBE. I noticed that the configure was automatically picking the
64-bit build over 32-bit. Where is this state information being
retained? It ignores my STARCONF_DEFAULT_PREFIX. I checked that the
64-bit build tree isn't in my PATH.
After rebuilding the buildsupport and using
./configure --prefix <path of my 32-bit build>
the configure hangs at
checking how to preprocess Fortran files...
And get a new compiler is not an acceptable option.
