Project Manager: Electronic Document and Records Management System
3 year fixed term contract at a salary of £29,004- 35,586 (bar at £33,984)
As one of the leading local authorities in Information and Records
Management, Gloucestershire County Council has an exciting opening for an
ambitious project manager to lead on introducing EDRMS into the authority.
A pilot project has been successfully run to test the proposed solution and
software, which has been branded as MIDAS and this post will manage the
roll out across the authority. The role reports to the Head of Information
Management and is directed by the MIDAS Project Board and will run for a
three year term.
As project manager you will be expected to plan and implement an EDRMS
programme to ensure that records practices are effectively meeting the
organisation’s objectives, business needs and legislative obligations. The
role offers a great variety of tasks both strategic and operational,
requires an excellent range of project management skills and will give much
job satisfaction and interest.
You will lead a small team of trainers, facilitators and technical
specialists in carrying out this project and will work closely with the
Information Management Service. You will need to be a qualified
practitioner in Prince 2 methodology and have 5 years experience of working
in records management. A good understanding of Freedom of Information and
Data Protection, and preferably of local government and EDRMS, is desirable.
You will have an excellent understanding of other relevant legislation and
standards and the ability to prioritise workloads for yourself and your
team. You will need to absorb and analyse information quickly and
accurately and have the personal qualities that will allow you to relate to
people at all levels.
