LECTURESHIP IN ARCHIVES ADMINISTRATION & RECORDS MANAGEMENT
DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION STUDIES

After five years of continual expansion, the Department of Information
Studies is the UK’s largest provider of postgraduate training in Archive
Administration and Records Management and remains fully committed to the
development of teaching and research in these areas.
You will contribute to the teaching of the Department’s MSc Econ/Diploma
in Archive Administration, MSc Econ/Diploma/Certificate in Records
Management and undergraduate programmes in Historical and Archival
Studies, and Information and Library Studies. You will also be involved
in administration, student supervision and support.
You should have a postgraduate qualification in Archive Administration
and/or Records Management, preferably at Masters level, be familiar with a
broad range of historical source material and have experience of archive
and/or records management service delivery covering two or more of: use
of archive cataloguing systems, preferably CALM; Encoded Archival
Description (EAD); Digitisation/networking projects; Palaeographical
skills; Preservation/conservation management; Modern records management,
including digital records; and Digital preservation.
