Chris, other colleagues,
SAP is included in TNA's "Detailed Submissions" list at
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/electronicrecords/reqs2002/test_sched
ule.htm.
This implies that SAP has gone a fair way towards developing credible
ERM functionality - and possibly more, but possibly less. Of course, it
does not actually prove anything. Although the deadline for applying
for TNA testing passed in Spring, there is still a backlog of a few
months for the actual tests - so watch that space.
SAP is also involved in the AIIM European Education Advisory Group on
ECM and EDRM, which I think demonstrates some commitment to ERM.
I hope this helps,

Me too. I would like to know more about SAP ERM - particularly
successful implementations.
The British Council has recently implemented SAP and may be considering
the ERM component as an ERM solution. I understand it has been given TNA
accreditation.

I would be interested in the responses to this question as well.
I have noted some of the white papers and articles that SAP has
published about recordkeeping. It would be useful to have some
information about installations where EDRMS has been successfully
implemented with things like Keyword AAA Thesaurus or Business
Classification Schemes (BCS) as well as sentencing on creation using
retention and disposal authorities linked into the BCS.
These suggestions seem to come from the IS people who are interested in
minimizing the number of systems that they need to manage. I have yet
to hear advocates from the Information Professional (RM, EDM, Library
and KM) sector taking SAP as the primary application for EDRMS.
Best Regards

I wondered if anyone had come across an EDRMS offering from SAP? Our
Information Systems people have just suggested we look at this but I
haven't heard of it before. Any information appreciated.
Many thanks,
