Archaeological Records Officer
Based in Nantgarw (near Cardiff)
Salary range for this full–time permanent & pensionable post is £16,601 -
£21,449 per annum (Band C) starting at the minimum of the pay band.

We have a vacancy for the post of Archaeological Records Officer within the
Cadw Inspectorate of Ancient Monuments and Historic Building Records
Section. The post holder will help maintain and develop the Scheduled
Ancient Monument Database, the Scheduled Ancient Monument Record and assist
in the organisation of the work programme for 7 Field Monument Wardens.
Applicants should have a degree in Archaeology. Applicants without this
qualification may be considered, but only if they have other relevant
qualifications or experience of special value to the post. Experience in
Archaeological Development Control and/or computerised archaeological
records is essential as is a good knowledge of the archaeology and
historical background of sites and monuments in Wales, covering all
archaeological periods.
The appointment of a successful candidate is subject to a satisfactory
