The Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services was founded 1
January 2004. The Centre is organised under The Directorate for Health and
Social Affairs but is scientifically and professionally independent. The
Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services gathers and disseminates
evidence about the effect and quality of methods and interventions within
all parts of the health services.
Senior Health Economist
The Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services is seeking to employ
a senior health economist in a full-time, permanent position. As part of an
interdisciplinary team consisting of health professionals, economists,
statisticians and other scientists, s/he will have responsibility for
further development of the health economics resources at the centre,
including tutoring junior staff members. Duties include health economic
evaluations, methodological development and research with publishing of
results in scientific journals.
The successful candidate will have a sound competency in scientific,
experience in economic evaluation of medical and health services
interventions, and insight in cost-benefit analyses, and economic and
epidemiologic models. Qualifications include PhD in economics or related
fields, relevant experience and ability to work with multidisciplinary
teams.
Junior Health Economist/Researcher
The Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services is seeking to employ
a health economist in a full-time, permanent position. Duties include
economic and cost-benefit analyses of medical and health services
intervention that have been addressed in systematic reviews or health
technology assessments. Other duties include taking part in
interdisciplinary project groups, methodological development and research.
The successful candidate will work with and under the guidance of a group
of health economists.
Qualifications: Masters degree in economics or related fields and ability
to work with a multidisciplinary group.
