I am handling an interesting mid-level opportunity in Health Economics.Our
client is the Medical Devices division of a major pharma multinational,
with state of the art world-leading brands in the devices sector. As part
of their ongoing organisational development in Europe, they now wish to
establish a Health Economics function for the region, based in their West
London headquarters.
Primary Duties
• To set up, manage and develop a Health Economics & Outcomes
Research function for Europe, working together with the US headquarters
and with local markets.
• To develop strategy and solutions, to address customer needs in
partnership with marketing, reimbursement and Government account teams,
R&D, medical affairs and other key internal stakeholders.
• To create an innovative health economic research direction and
programmes, and to introduce new research approaches to existing research,
and clinical development programmes.
• To recruit and develop a high-quality team, within the European
headquarters and key markets.
Qualifications
• Relevant first degree, either Life Sciences or Economics and
ideally a higher-level qualification.
• Industry experience, focusing on health economics and outcomes,
within a sophisticated pharma or medical devices organisation.
• A good understanding of European health economic policy issues,
particularly relating to UK, France and Germany.
• Track record of strong relationships with external stakeholders
and opinion leaders, in health policy and reimbursement in Europe.
• Technical competence in designing and interpreting health economic
and outcome studies.
• Ability to prioritise, focus and achieve results in a diverse,
global dynamic business environment, within a high visibility position.
