[EMS-NEWS]
Dear 8-channel studio users,
just to let you now that the dual processor G4 computer is back and
running smoothly in the 8-channel studio after its power supply
failed over the holidays.
There is also a new 160Gb firewire drive installed. If you have work
you wish to keep that is currently on either "Audio Drive 1", "Audio
Drive 2" or "A" drive, can you please migrate it over to this new
drive ("Firewire Drive 160") in the next 2-3 weeks, as I will be
removing these older noisier drives at the start of the new term.
This ONLY applies to continuing EMS postgraduates (MMus/MPhil/PhD),
not those who have just completed. If I don't hear from you by Monday
26th September I will assume you don't wish to keep any work
currently on these drives.
Finally: MMus postgraduates who have just completed in the past 2
weeks (Aki, Laura, Lorraine, Scott, Tokuto - plus Ben and Iain) can
you please ensure you have backed-up and/or removed your work in the
8-channel studio before Monday 26th September.
thanks
Ian
