A primary-sources web site which links to hand-selected pictures, documents, maps, and audio/visual clips from the world's leading libraries, archives and governmental web sites is now free to all libraries, schools and educators in the UK. The teaching/learning/reading tool (which is called AwesomeStories) has about 100,000 hand-selected links, positioned in-context within hundreds of topics, and was recently featured in a new book, "101 Best Web Sites for Teachers," published by the International Society for Technology in Education.
Although the site is subscription-based, it is free to all libraries, schools, educators and library media specialists. Simply request an academic membership at the site's main URL: http://www.awesomestories.com/
