Vocational Partnerships in ETG at the British Council is looking for
applicants to take part in the CEDEFOP Study Visits Programme in the
first half of 2006.
* CEDEFOP Study Visits aim to encourage discussion on subjects
of common interest at European level among those responsible for
vocational training
* Study Visits are fertile ground for analysing issues of
concern to national education and training systems, discussing new
teaching methods and developing good practice
* Study Visits are open to anyone working in the field of
vocational training: representatives of trade unions and employers'
organisations, public education/training bodies, heads of vocational
training provision, local employment agencies, company training
officers, researchers and related professions.
* Successful applicants receive a grant to take part in a three
to five day Study Visit to another European country.
The catalogue of visits includes for example:
* New ways of learning, use of ICT
* Active citizenship through social inclusion
* Lifelong guidance and counselling - a vehicle towards equal
opportunities
* The role of social partners in VET - social dialogue: impact
and issues
* Developing entrepreneurship among young people
The UK application deadline for the next group of visits is 16
September 2005.
