in 75 years time, are all the department now minor injury units because A&E

Subject: Minor illness & ENPs
Dear All
In minor injury units, what happens to patients who pitch up with eg. sore
throat, URTI, UTI etc, ie 'minor' illness?
Are they seen by ENPs, redirected to primary care services or redirected to
main A&E dept. If they are seen by ENPs, what training do they receive and
who takes ultimate clinical responsibility?
I ask this question as I'm sure that my views on this will shorly be sought
locally.
