My guess is that cleaning doesn't remove all that it should.
Anyway I've made a fresh checkout. The bootstrap fails.
rlspc3-ix86_Linux> ./bootstrap
m4 at /usr/bin/m4 is OK
Bootstrapping with
STARCONF_DEFAULT_STARLINK = /export/soft/mjc/classic
STARCONF_DEFAULT_PREFIX = /export/soft/mjc/classic
BUILDSUPPORT_PREFIX = /export/soft/mjc/classic/buildsupport
Do we need to build GNU m4? false
Bootstrapping buildsupport:
make -f Makefile.tmp \
prefix=/export/soft/mjc/classic/buildsupport \
MANIFESTS=/export/soft/mjc/classic/manifests \
buildsupport
cd buildsupport/starconf \
&& if test -n "$BUILDSUPPORT_PREFIX"; then \
./configure --prefix=$BUILDSUPPORT_PREFIX \
>configure-output.log; \
elif test ! -f Makefile; then \
{ t="Directory unconfigured but BUILDSUPPORT_PREFIX undefined";\
echo $t >configure-output.log; echo $t >&2; \
exit 1; }; \
else \
echo "No configuration necessary" >configure-output.log; \
fi \
&& (make && make install) >make.log 2>make.log.err || { cat
make.log.err; false; }
