I've now installed a half dozen media wikis (on my desktop computer no
less!) in addition to the one run out of ULeth for Digital Medievalist.
I'll take a look around for stuff on cloning. I think James Cummings
from DM and DC also has a bit of experience in setting them up.
BTW, if you have a linux system, and collaborate, let me recommend wikis
very highly. We're using private ones on several projects, and they are
just fantastic for version control and multiple party revision. And
quite easy to install.
