Give it a try. Without HDS_64BIT you will be limited to the old limit but
since you have 64bit long you will probably be okay up to 2GB even in
fallback mode (like the alpha).

I don't think anyone has been brave enough to compile the starlink
software with default INTEGER*8 and REAL*8 but it would be worth a laugh
(and the autoconf test in CNF will need fixing).
