In his own words 'this website is for people involved in applied social research and evaluation'. An adequate description of the profusion of material available is impossible; some examples are: Trochim's own Knowledge Base, a 'comprehensive web-based textbook that addresses all of the topics in a typical introductory undergraduate or graduate course in social research methods' (previously published separately and noted elsewhere on Sosig); the Simulation Book, a 'complete online workbook that introduces the use of computer simulations in applied social research designs'; Selecting Statistics 'an exploratory tool ... [for] statistical analyses, and ... an aid to educating students on the selection of the correct statistical technique'; links to other sites, and tutorials on research methods.
